Fiber Internet Benefits

Fiber internet uses light through fiber-optic cable to deliver high-capacity connectivity. Compared with older copper-based technologies, fiber often provides higher speed, better stability and lower latency, especially for modern homes with many connected devices.

Where fiber provides an advantage

The biggest benefit of fiber is consistency. It can handle streaming, gaming, video calls and cloud work at the same time when the router and Wi-Fi are also capable.

A fiber connection should be judged by consistency as well as peak speed. Compare several wired tests at different times; stable latency and similar download and upload results provide stronger evidence of fiber performance than one unusually high reading.
